Thank You

My father was in the Army when he was a lad. He served his country during peacetime between the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. As a child my parents taught us the meaning of Memorial Day. We actually took a moment out our day to reflect on the lives that were given for our country. A deep appreciation of our country was instilled in us. When hubby and I bought our house 26 years ago the first thing I did have a big fiberglass flagpole installed. Today we fly the American flag as well as the POW flag which are light at night.

My grandfather served in Korea and Vietnam in the Army. My dad was also in the Army, my father-in-law is retired Air Force. I am former USAF of the 945th squadron. I stand at attention ad salute all those who came before and gave all, and all of those who came after and have done the same. I also salute all those who have ever worn the uniform in general. Rest assured that Old Glory will fly outside tomorrow to remember them all. And as my favorite characters Wang Chi and Jack burton would say, "Here's to the Army and Navy and the battles they have won; here's to America's colors, the colors that never run. May the wings of liberty never lose a feather.".....
