The calendar says it's springtime and the trees are flowering out.
Oh and the tree that is flowering out; not really, it's snow from our latest snowfall. This tree is in front of the convent around the corner from me, the Sisters of Mercy. When we first moved into our house we would see nuns in full habit going for walks or driving around but haven't seen one in years. They must be in their 80's and 90's. Are young women becoming nuns these days? I can't imagine it's a very popular career.
I bought myself a subscription to Time this year (it was on sale for $19). There's copies of it all over the house. I need to read that article about ethanol. I've been trying to convince people that it's evil.
ReplyDeleteWe're drowning in Time as well. I've decided that I much prefer The Week. The articles are extremely concise, and the magazine is about half as many pages. I CAN actually read it every week.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I totally agree with Nobody. Though the comment about ethanol beign evil made me think of "Soylent Green is people!" Imagine: "Ethanol is evil!"
